More info

Digestive system beneficial bacteria will proliferate, creating a healthy environment, so the food is digested and can supply your body with nutrients and minerals and excrete waste. The herbs have a beneficial effect on digestion and creating beneficial antioxidants there protects the body against development of free radicals and thus the risk of disease.

Vita Biosa by BIOSA Herb drink fermented by lactic acid cultures Vita Biosa Vita Biosa is a mixture of aromatic herbs and other plants which are fermented by a special combination of lactic acid and yeast cultures. During fermentation lactic acid is formed, this gives a low pH value of about 3.5. The low pH prevents the development of harmful bacteria in the finished product. Triple effect 1. Lactic acids act by regulating the pH of the intestinal environment. Lactic acid has a restrictive influence on putrefactive bacteria, parasites and other unwanted micro-organisms such as salmonella. The beneficial bacteria of the digestive system have thus a better possibility to multiply themselves and create a healthy environment, where food is digested in such a way that the body is supplied with the necessary nutrients. At the same time waste products are excreted, so that they do not accumulate in the body. 2. The herb blend consists of: angelica, anise, basil, camomile, chervil, dill, elder, fennel, fenugreek, ginger, juniper, liquorice root, nettle, oregano, parsley, peppermint, rosemary, sage, thyme. All of the herbs are known from folk medicine and have been used throughout the centuries. The herbs have a beneficial influence on the digestion and supply the body with useful antioxidants which counteract the development of free radicals. Free radicals have a destructive effect on the body and can be the cause of illness. 3. Vita Biosa contains lactic acid bacteria, which are in a resting state due to the low pH value and lack of nourishment. When the micro-organisms reach the alimentary canal, they begin once more to multiply themselves. Lactic acid bacteria work together with other useful micro-organisms in the bowels and are able to compete against other harmful micro-organisms. Good health comes from healthy intestines The body is constantly exposed to `attacks by alien micro-organisms. The intestines or alimentary canal is one of the bodys most exposed places; in that it is here we have the largest surface of mucus membranes. The surface of the skin is about 2 sq. metres. The surface of the inside of the lungs is about 80 sq. metres. The surface of the inside of the intestines is about 300 sq. metres! It is important that the body can protect itself against harmful micro-organisms. The defence system consists partly of the skin, which keeps harmful micro-organisms out and partly of mucus membranes, which prevent micro-organisms from penetrating the alimentary canal into the body. The mucus membranes and the glands of the body produce antibodies which fight the harmful bacteria. Apart from the skin and mucus membranes, the bodys defence system consists of a co-operation between the immune system and beneficial micro-organisms. The skin is covered by different types of lactic acid bacteria, which protect us and provide for a healthy and supple skin, capable of repelling attack. It is a mucus membrane on the inner side of the intestines, which ensures that the bacteria that we take in through our food, the air and water do not constantly attack us. It is known that the micro flora of the intestines is of great significance as to how the mucus membrane of the intestines can protect us. It has also been discovered that the lactic acid bacteria produce substances which stimulate the mucus membranes and at the same time restrict harmful bacteria. The human digestion The breaking-down and assimilation function in the intestines is first and foremost a question of the mutual conditions among the different micro-organisms. Billions of bacteria are found here and they should be present in a well-balanced mutual relationship, so that the intestines can function at their best. Some of these balances are known, certainly not all. It has, for example, been known for centuries that lactic acid bacteria create a healthier environment in the intestines. Today it is known that this has to do with a larger production of certain B-vitamins which takes place when there are sufficient la
